A Vancouver Island based company, MacNutt Enterprises, is looking for an heavy equipment operator for our Victoria location. The position is for Tuesday to Saturday shift.
*Wage based on experience
Duties
- Performing pre and post-operation checks to ensure equipment is in good working order, and reporting any issues.
- Loading company trucks and trailers as needed.
- Assisting customers by loading vehicles to order.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks like lubricating and refueling equipment.
- Maintain radio communication with the office and other yard staff
Qualities:
- Must have 2 years experience running a loader. (Other equipment is an asset)
- Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Must be reliable and punctual; and have a reliable transportation to work.
- Must have a strong work ethic.
- Clear and effective communication with supervisors and other workers.
- Must be willing and able to perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to identify and resolve basic mechanical issues is an asset
Pay: $27.00-$33.00 per hour
