Subject Areas We're Hiring For
- Mathematics: Elementary foundations through advanced calculus, pre-calculus, and university-prep courses
- Chemistry: Introductory science through Grade 11/12 honors and university-level coursework
- Physics: Conceptual physics through advanced mechanics, electricity, waves, and modern physics
- Biology: General life sciences, human anatomy, genetics, ecology, and specialized topics
- General Science: Integrated science programs for elementary and middle school learners
What This Role Involves
- One-on-One Instruction: Design customized lessons that match each student's learning pace, style, and academic objectives
- Identify & Address Gaps: Pinpoint misconceptions quickly and employ evidence-based strategies to build genuine understanding
- Leverage Digital Tools: Use Zoom, interactive whiteboards, simulations, and visualization software to make complex concepts tangible
- Track & Communicate Progress: Document student growth, provide detailed feedback, and celebrate improvements
- Stay Curriculum-Aligned: Ground lessons in Ontario Curriculum standards while remaining responsive to individual student needs
We're Looking for Educators Who:
- Have Deep Subject Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Science, Education, Engineering, or related STEM/Humanities field
- Are Grade-Level Versatile: Comfortable teaching anywhere from Grade 3 through Grade 12, with the ability to simplify or extend material as needed
- Connect on Camera: Bring energy, patience, and an ability to make challenging material feel approachable and interesting
- Embrace Digital Learning: Proficient with video conferencing, learning management platforms, and ready to troubleshoot basic tech issues
- Prioritize Flexibility: Available for evening and weekend sessions to accommodate student schedules
