Position Overview
The Forklift Operator ensures safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials throughout the yard and production areas. You’ll work closely with the Roll Forming Lead to support daily operations, trailer loading, and material staging while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant yard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to transport panels, coils, kits, and pallets across yard and production zones.
- Load and unload trucks following established BarrierBoss loading standards.
- Stage materials for assembly, roll forming, and fabrication as per production schedules.
- Assist with coil handling, banding, and organization of outdoor/indoor storage lanes.
- Conduct daily forklift safety inspections and complete maintenance logs.
- Support zero-waste initiatives by separating and staging recyclable materials.
- Assist with trailer strapping, load balance checks, and shipment verification.
- Maintain clean, safe, and accessible work areas at all times.
- Report any hazards, mechanical issues, or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience, preferably in a construction or manufacturing yard.
- Valid forklift certification
- Strong understanding of load balance, rigging, and safe material handling.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
