We are looking for a talented, high-EQ, smart, social and agile Accounts person to join the team at VC this fall. This is a maternity leave coverage role, with the opportunity to extend beyond the contract length based on overall workload. As the Account Manager, you are responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing effective client relationships and day-to-day projects within the agency. You are the connection point between the client and the agency resources. Your role involves bringing work and projects into the agency, resourcing with the right people for the job, and managing the timelines, budget, and quality of work to meet the agreed-upon goals. Working in close partnership with a Project Manager, you own the client relationship, budget, and profitability of the account. Account Managers report directly to the Group Account Director.
Responsibilities
- Developing positive and productive relationships with clients, and understanding their business
- Relaying the client vision and bringing projects into the agency with a kickoff and resourcing plan and schedule
- Overseeing all moving parts on the account from the work product to the budget, and overall client satisfaction
- Bringing new ideas and opportunities to the clients to help grow their business
- Managing resource expectations, feedback, and quality
- Managing the overall client and campaign budgets, project margin, and utilization of resources
Accountabilities
- In collaboration with the Account Director, develop strategic marketing plans for clients, collaborating with all resources necessary to develop the best possible path forward
- Attend briefing sessions from the client, bringing other resources as necessary and as budget allows
- Develop internal briefs and set up projects to kick off campaigns and project work – ensuring all the necessary information is included
- Manage all client communication and approvals – one-point person for the client to ensure clarity
- Building and maintaining scopes of work and budgets, and reviewing budget-vs-actuals on your accounts weekly
- All billing practices, including reviewing work-in-progress, generating and issuing invoices, updating and reviewing the BCR
- Develop scope of work documents and estimates as needed from approved tactical plans
- Keep client status documents up to date every week in conjunction with the PM function
- Communicate both ways between the client and resources on scope or schedule changes
- Communicate pertinent project information to team members through the agency's project management system
- Proofing documents before they are passed to the client for review
- Markup documents as per agency specifications
- Decipher client feedback to mark up documents for creative or design teams
- Manage and track the profitability of all your accounts to ensure we hit our financial targets
- Work with your PM to ensure all account admin – projects, tasks, time, and budgets – is up to date and seamless

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
