Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and conduct thorough consultations to understand their hair goals and needs
- Perform professional curly hair styling services, including cuts, trims, and specialized treatments tailored for textured hair
- Educate clients on proper hair care routines, product recommendations, and styling techniques to maintain healthy curls at home
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the salon stations and tools
- Assist with retail sales by recommending suitable products that enhance curl health and style, upselling where appropriate
- Provide excellent customer service by actively listening, communicating clearly, and ensuring client satisfaction during every visit
- Support front desk operations by managing appointments, answering client inquiries, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Experience
- Proven experience in curly hair styling and cutting techniques from working in salons or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of natural hair care products, treatments, and styling tools specific to textured hair types
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate clients and promote retail offerings
- Prior experience in customer service roles within a retail or salon setting is preferred
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment following sanitation standards
- Enthusiasm for ongoing learning about new curly hair trends, techniques, and products
