Junior Geotechnical Engineer / EIT

Pinchin’s Geotechnical Practice in the Greater Toronto area is quickly growing. We are looking for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer / Engineer-In-Training to join our team in one of our Greater Toronto Area (GTA) locations.
The Geotechnical Engineering Group at Pinchin is an emerging practice and has been added to our service offerings to provide our current and potential clientele with the highest quality of diversified geoscience engineering to meet today’s demanding market. As a result, career advancement is based on your success at the company but is unlimited.
A Day in the life of a Junior Geotechnical Engineer at Pinchin:

Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technologists/technicians performing general geotechnical responsibilities

Assist senior staff with the completion of geotechnical investigations which will include both field and office-based work

Develop technical skills by assisting the senior staff with various geotechnical analyses

Assist senior staff with the preparation of technical proposals and reports

Liaise with clients and contractors

Develop business development skills to continue to foster existing client relationships and build new ones
What you bring to the Pinchin team:
-
A degree in a related discipline, preferably in civil, geological or geotechnical engineering
-
P.Eng. or working towards will be considered an asset
-
Working knowledge of various geotechnical instrumentation, survey methods and materials testing will be considered an asset
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
