The first Hammam Spa was founded 20 years ago in Downtown Toronto by Celine Tadrissi when she was inspired to introduce Canadians to the traditional Turkish spa experience. Position Overview:
Aestheticians are valued members of the team at Hammam Spa.The priority of an Esthetician is to deliver an unparalleled level of guest service and treatment quality. The successful candidate will be expected to provide a full range of services, including nail services, skin therapy treatments and body treatments. Estheticians must be able to build rapport with guests, and approach all client interactions with reverence for the guest. A successful Esthetician will excel at retail sales and will continuously commit to product training and meet or exceed personalized sales goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Abides by the Hammam Spa Policies and Procedures Guide
- Provides exceptional guest service and safe, effective and results-oriented treatments
- Follows service protocol during all treatments
- Demonstrates advanced technical ability during treatments
- Confidently discuss services, treatment plans and personalized recommendations with guests
- Reviews guest Health History/Release forms prior to services adapting for any contraindications
- Maintains cleanliness of treatment rooms/nail resources
- Ensures the proper, safe use of spa equipment
- Ability to educate guests and sell skincare and beauty lines sold in our boutique
- Completes customized Skincare Recommendations sheets for all facial guests
- Completes treatment notes on all visiting guests noting preferences or recommendations
- Responsible for fostering a healthy attitude and working relationships with all co-workers and members of management
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a refined aesthetic sensibility and a proven background in a luxury spa environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to meet personalized sales goals
- Courteous and professional demeanor
- Able to work in a team or independently
- Advanced time management skills
- Fluency in English
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a warm, humid environment
- Must be well groomed, and comply with the spa dress-code policy
- Attendance at ongoing customer service and product-line training is mandatory
- Availability to work evening/ weekend shifts.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of a recognized Esthetics Program
- Proven professional experience in a luxury spa environment
