Spire Development has an immediate opening for an Accounting & Admin Clerk in our Delta office. This position reports to Controller and is a role of combining duties of both an Accounting Clerk (80%) and Receptionist (20%). The qualified candidate will have opportunity to grow into a full time accountant role.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, recording, and filing payable invoices
- Preparing and issuing cheques
- Reconciling bank and Credit Card accounts
- Greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering incoming calls and directing calls to appropriate personnel
- Coordinating couriers for pick up and delivery
- Receiving and distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 1 year accounts payable experience
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Knowledge of Spectrum software would be a strong asset
- Diploma in Accounting is preferred
