About the Role
We're an established property maintenance company serving commercial and utility clients across southwestern Ontario, including long-standing, growing contracts maintaining hydroelectric facilities and other commercial properties/stations. We're hiring a right-hand to our operations lead — part problem-solver, part organizer, part client contact. One day it's figuring out how to fix a damaged gate; the next it's lining up a tree crew and negotiating the price, or walking a site with a client rep.
What You'll Do
- Manage work orders at utility sites: chain-link fence and gate repair, vegetation and tree work, site clean-ups and waste removal, gravel grading and drainage, and other exterior property services work
- Troubleshoot physical/mechanical problems in the field and decide the right fix
- Book and manage subcontractors — compare quotes, negotiate fairly, check their work
- Be the friendly, presentable face of our company with clients and vendors
- Coordinate crews, materials, and equipment across multiple sites; document completed work for billing
What You'll Bring
- Hands-on maintenance, construction, landscaping, or trades background
- Calm problem-solver; organized enough to juggle multiple open work orders
- Professional communicator by phone, text, and email
- Capable of using job-tracking apps and simple systems for work orders, job photos, and scheduling
- Valid driver's license (required); coordination/supervisory experience are assets
What We Offer
- $24–$29/hour based on experience, wage review after 6 months, room to grow
- Full-time, year-round work in all seasons
- Company truck and equipment for work use
- Benefits
Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
