Innova Developments is commercial construction company specializing in tenant improvements. We are looking for a experienced carpenter based in Calgary to perform a variety of site tasks ranging from rough framing to commercial millwork installation.
Candidate will be required to perform duties with minimal supervision and must be able to solve problems and complete finishes without assistance. We are looking for a candidate with an eye for detail that understands the importance of a quality finish. The position will not only include finish carpentry as the candidate will be required to complete a multitude of punch list items.
Innova is flexible with work hours and does not expect a standard 9-5 if tasks are completed on schedule. Great opportunity for the right candidate to grow into a supervision position.
We are looking for a full time worker.
Company vehicle will be provided and can be used for personal use after the 3 month probationary period.
Summary
As a Carpenter, you will be integral to our construction team, focusing on various tasks that include woodworking, cabinet installation, and repair work. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your role will involve utilizing core skills with hand and power tools to execute projects efficiently. Your premium skills in blueprint reading and concrete forming will enhance your ability to interpret project plans accurately. Additionally, relevant skills such as construction estimating and roofing will support our commitment to delivering high-quality results. Responsibilities
- Utilize hand and power tools to execute carpentry tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate construction and installation of structures.
- Perform woodworking and cabinet installation, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Perform metal and wood door installations including all associated hardware.
- Collaborate with project management team to execute punch lists items at job closeout.
Qualifications
- Proficient in carpentry and woodworking techniques
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Experience with blueprint reading
- Knowledge of general construction and restoration practices
- Familiarity with flooring installation and cabinet installation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various construction settings
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
