Customer Service Supervisor

Duties:
Selects, trains, and supervises assigned staff, including identifying resources and training programs which foster an environment of excellent customer service.
Assesses work unit performance and collaborates with other Divisions to identify and recommend process improvements and training programs related to automated rental, registration and Point of Sale programs.
Coordinates and administers requests for rental space at recreation facilities, sport fields, indoor rinks and special use parks
Coordinates and administers the automated registration process and collection of revenues, ensuring adherence to revenue control procedures.
Administers and monitors the Youth Sport Subsidy Program, including preparing written progress reports.
Provides management reports related to facility activity space rental and sports field allocation, as required.
Prepares formal written reports, business letters and memoranda.
Assists the Facility Supervisor with budget preparation for the customer service unit, including monitoring the allocation of staff resources and material purchases.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Successful completion of a recognized one year post-secondary business-related program plus or including:
Introductory Financial Accounting 1

Introductory Financial Accounting 2

Auditing

Four years' progressively responsible customer service experience, including two years’ supervising staff in an administrative office which uses automated Point of Sale, facility rental, program registration and staff scheduling systems.
Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
Current driver’s abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.
Thorough knowledge of automated revenue collection systems.
Thorough knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
Considerable knowledge of accounting principles, concepts and procedures, including internal controls.
Demonstrated ability to direct, motivate, supervise, train and schedule staff.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, assigned staff and the public.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, including the ability to create and present reports of a complex nature.
Skill in the operation of a computer using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Hours:
Evening and weekend work may be involved.

Salary:
$5,204.00 to $5,737.42 per month (2018 Rates)
