Vancouver Eagles is looking for passionate and reliable basketball coaches to join our growing program.
We are not just looking for someone who wants a job.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves basketball and is passionate about developing young players.
What You’ll Do
- Coach youth basketball classes (ages 6–15) with energy, patience, and positivity
- Teach fundamentals, skills, and game concepts
- Create a positive, energetic, and disciplined environment
- Be a role model for players on and off the court
- Build relationships with players and parents, make every kid feel seen and supported
- Set up equipment and keep sessions organized and on time
Must Have
- Positive, upbeat energy, you bring enthusiasm and leadership into the gym
- Strong basketball fundamentals and the ability to teach skills clearly
- Great communication skills with children and parents
- Reliable and professional, you show up on time and are committed to doing your best
- Coachable and open-minded, you want feedback and want to improve
- Flexible schedule, weekday evenings between 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (minimum 2–3 days/week)
- Must be able to commit long-term — we are seeking permanent coaches who can commit for at least 2–3 years
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience is required
- Played at a competitive level (college, university, or professional preferred)
- Strong passion for basketball and teaching youth athletes
- Located in Vancouver or able to commute reliably
- Reliable and professional
Commitment Expectations:
- Able to coach at least 2 to 3 times per week
- Consistently show up early and prepared
- Take pride in delivering high-quality training
