Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Presser to join our team! Duties
- Operate commercial pressing machines, steamers and hand irons efficiently to press a variety of fabrics and garments (remove wrinkles, shape clothing and give garments a crisp, polished end finish)
- Inspect garments for wrinkles, stains, or defects before pressing to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to promote a safe and hygienic environment
- Knowledge of various fabrics and their temperature settings. Must also match fabric heat with correct pressure settings to prevent damage to delicate materials.
- Assist with general cleaning tasks around the facility to support overall hygiene standards
- Ensure all garments are pressed according to specific customer or company specifications
- Keep accurate records of completed tasks and report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a Dry Cleaning facility is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of laundry processes, garment care, and pressing techniques
- Ability to operate pressing machines safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
- Good physical stamina — able to stand for extended periods and handle heavy or bulky items
- Basic understanding of cleaning protocols and maintaining a sanitary workspace
- Reliable, punctual, with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
