Instrumentation Technicians
To work at our Dow FS1R in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
- SALARY: From $52 per hour
- BENEFITS: 4% Pension & 4% RRSP + CLAC Benefits
- OVERTIME: After 8 hours in a day, or 40 hours in a week
- START DATE: ASAP
- SCHEDULE: 5/2
- HOURS PER DAY: 10 hours per day 8hrs on Fridays
- PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
- SHIFT: Day Shift
- DURATION: 2+ months
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Journeyperson Instrumentation ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
- Must have experience working at heights
- Must have the following safety certificates: CSTS 2020, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
Responsibilities:
- Install measuring and control devices used in industrial processing
- Work with a wide variety of pneumatic, electronic and microcomputer devices used to measure and control pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical composition
- Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine installation procedures
- Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrumentation systems
- Practice loss management principles,
- Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts,
- Conduct risk assessments
- Consult and work with engineers on basic designs, specs, and details
- Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices
- Experience in pneumatic and hydro testing would be an asset
- Must be proficient in tube bending and installation
- Must be able to read and interpret PNID’s
