Job Responsibilities:
- Occupational Therapy treatment and assessment, including phone, email, and text communication with clients, assessments, documentation, travel to client locations, and intervention services.
- Utilize specialized occupational therapy knowledge and skills to promote independence in activities of daily living, productivity, and leisure.
- Provide individualized assessment and intervention, program planning and implementation, consultation, education, and policy development as part of an interdisciplinary team and in collaboration with families.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for each client.
- Conduct specialized assessments, including worksite analyses, ergonomic assessments, assistive device recommendations, cognitive assessments and therapy, functional capacity evaluations, and other occupational therapy assessments.
- Ensure clients actively participate in therapeutic programs designed to achieve identified goals.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress toward established treatment goals.
- Prepare accurate and timely clinical documentation related to the delivery of occupational therapy services.
- Ensure the practice of Occupational Therapy is conducted in accordance with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists' Code of Ethics and all applicable provincial regulatory requirements.
- Understand and comply with all licensure requirements, applicable legislation, scope of practice, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
