What you will do
- Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
- Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
- Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
- Complete incident reports for security purposes
- Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required
About you
- A Valid Security License
- Previous Security experience
- Previous security experience in a retail environment is required
- Previous security experience in Respite/Shelter Home is preferred
- Use of Force training is an asset
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Willing to stand and patrol for the duration of the shift
- Knowledge of S.C.O.P.E (Loss Prevention - Selection, Concealment, Continuity, Pass POS, Exit)
- Knoweldge of 494 Canadian Criminal Code - Citizens Powers of Srrest
- Knowledge of TPA Trespass to Property Act - When can you trespass someone from private / public property
- Knowledge of Steps of Arrest
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
- Tactical Security : 3 years (required)
- Retail Store Security: 2 years (required)
- Retail Security/Loss Prevention: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Security Guard Licence (required)
- Use of Force Certification (required)
- First Aid and CPR Level C with AED (required)
- Ontario Drivers License (preferred)
