Position Overview:
The Graphic Designer/Video Editor will be responsible for creating and managing a variety of digital and print materials, including event centre show posters, promotional materials, and engaging video content for social media, in-house TV screens, and on-site advertising.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, and produce a variety of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics, banners, and event centre show posters, ensuring they align with Grey Eagle Resort & Casino’s brand standards.
- Collaborate with the Event Centre and Marketing teams to create visually appealing and effective promotional assets for events and campaigns.
- Maintain consistency in style, branding, and messaging across all visual communications.
- Prepare designs for both print and digital formats, optimizing them for various platforms, including web, social media, and in-house displays.
- Edit and produce videos for promotional, advertising, and event purposes.
- Manage multiple video projects from concept to completion, adhering to deadlines.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Event Centre, and other departments to understand project goals and deliver creative solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative concepts and strategies for marketing campaigns and events.
- Provide creative direction and feedback on visual content produced by other team members or external vendors.
- Follow company and regulatory guidelines, deadlines, and procedures, ensuring attentiveness to compliance processes. Work independently under the general direction of more senior associates.
- Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure all signage is up to date resort-wide.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design and video editing, preferably within the hospitality, entertainment, or related industries.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or equivalent software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design and video projects, with an emphasis on work created for social media, in-house displays, and event promotion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
