Job Description:
You will be responsible to read and interpret blueprints and/or welding process specifications to fit and weld metal assemblies and join them together in a variety of scenarios while following all safety policies. You will use appropriate tools for the task (ex. igniting the torch, clamping down pieces) and joining and lining up all pieces of the project as specified.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determining the appropriate equipment and welding method based on requirements
- Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications
- Choose appropriate tools for the task
- Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Identifying hazards or potential hazards
- Other job duties as required
Equipment & Machinery Experience:
- Angle grinder
- Mig welding
- Flux welding
Our Work Schedule is (44 hours/week)
Monday's-Thursday's (7am-5pm) & Friday's (7am-1pm)

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- MIG welding: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- 437A Metal Fabricator (Fitter) (preferred)
