Class 1 Driver
Truss Fab Inc. is looking for an experienced Class 1 Truck Driver for Inter Provincial (MB, SK, & AB). This position is from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.
The successful candidate will receive full company paid benefits after 90-days.
Rate of Pay: Dependent on Experience
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections of vehicle and materials and goods;
- Labour intensive with daily deliveries to customers’ build sites;
- Load and roll off / unload materials following the proper safe work procedures and requirements;
- Ensure orders are accurately filled, loaded and secured following all safe work procedures;
- Pick up any excess building materials from job sites as instructed and complete the proper paper work;
- Complete all required paper work promptly and accurately. Including noting any order shortages or changes on the paper work;
- Follow all traffic laws/DOT regulations;
- Be professional, courteous, and punctual with a focus on customer service;
- Maintain a cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicles;
- Other duties as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Class 1 driver’s licence;
- Obtain and hold a clean Driver’s Abstract (must be current within 3 months);
- Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player, friendly, reliable, and organized;
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment;
- Forklift Licence desired but not required.
- Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year around.
- Safety boots and safety equipment are required;
- Busy, high-volume environment.
