Duties
- Prepare and cut various types of meat using proper butchery techniques to meet customer specifications and store standards
- Possess a strong understanding of meat freshness, including recognizing optimal color, texture, and aroma standards to ensure top quality and safety."
- Should have a good understanding about the meat
- Handle food products safely by following all food safety protocols, including proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices
- Package meat products efficiently while maintaining presentation quality and minimizing waste
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about different cuts of meat, and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and display cases to ensure a safe and organized environment
- Restock meat displays regularly to ensure freshness and availability for customers
- Follow all food handling regulations and safety guidelines during every stage of food preparation
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, especially butchery and meat cutting skills
- Ability to handle food products safely with attention to hygiene standards
