Shipper and Production Associate:
Position Overview:
Successful Associate will work as part of team under the supervision of the area Team Leader/Supervisor, carryout out several tasks in the Shipping and Production Departments. Must be flexible to work in varied departments with great organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
·Ensure shipments are staged and loaded in accordance to company procedures
operation of forklift in a safe manner - at least 50-60% of the time during your shift
Achieving target production numbers and comparing actual production numbers to key performance indicator
·Work well on a team and independently as needed
· Operation of Molding Press - automotive parts
· monitoring the production process and carrying out basic quality checks
· cleaning and maintaining 5S in work areas and machinery
· reporting equipment faults/failures to maintenance staff and/or Supervisor
· scanning product numbers into the computer system
· Any other job related duties as assigned.
Howa Canada Manufacturing offers full time associates the following benefits:

Start Rate- $20.91./hr
After 6 months - $22.75/hr
After 3 years - $25.36/hr
Shift premium of $.50/hr
Overtime paid daily after 8 hours per day
Skills / Qualifications:
Must have forklift experience and be very organized and able to multi-task
be a team player and able to work in a fast paced environment
Must focus on safety, quality, 5S and productivity
Experience:
Experience required with forklift is a must! Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment. We are seeking applicants that are reliable and want to learn and be part of a company with dedicated team members.
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work rotating shifts and at least 48 hours per week is required from time to time. (overtime is paid after 8 hours per day).We request that all interested applicants submit their resume for consideration.
