Compensation: $44.85 Plus Vacation pay and Travel pay
Union & Benefits: Employees will be hired as Union Members and benefits provided under International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115 upon signing up and paying admission fees

Position Overview:
Cantex Mining Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Light Duty Mechanic to join our team. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of light-duty vehicles including light trucks and small equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
- Brake, suspension, and steering work
- Engine diagnostics and minor repairs
- Oil changes, tire services, and general maintenance
- Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Complete work orders and documentation
Requirements:
- 1–3+ years experience as a ticketed mechanic
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum)
- Own basic tools
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assets:
- Red Seal certification
- Experience with diesel or fleet vehicles
- Inspection license (CVIP in BC is a bonus)
