Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our Trucking Company & Mechanic Shop. This role is vital in managing and optimizing the movement, coordination, and procurement of materials and products across various channels. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in time management, maintenance coordination, transportation management systems, and data analysis to ensure efficient operations. Duties
- Logistical Planning: Develop and implement logistical plans to optimize the movement of parts and equipment within the shop.
- These responsibilities are essential for ensuring that the mechanic shop operates efficiently and maintains a positive relationship with its customers. The logistics specialist plays a crucial role in the supply chain, ensuring that parts and equipment are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Oversee procurement processes, sourcing suppliers, and managing vendor relationships to optimize pricing and supply chain efficiency.
- Utilize data analysis skills to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by confirming service request and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Maintain accurate records & Monitoring the Preventative Maintenance & Annual Safety Inspection schedule.
- Proven experience in maintenance coordination role, supply chain management, or logistics roles.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and pricing negotiations.
- Hands-on experience with transportation management systems, Samsara, and Portpro.
- Strong data analysis skills for reporting and process optimization.
- Experience with demand planning, order fulfillment, materials management, and inventory control.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
- Prior experience in e-commerce fulfillment or packaging operations is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.This role requires a dedicated professional committed to enhancing supply chain efficiency through innovative solutions and meticulous execution. Pay: $38,000.00-$41,000.00 per year
