Job Overview
D Spot Franchising Inc. is seeking energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Catering & Event Staff to support catering operations, corporate events, community activations, franchise events, and special promotions. This position is ideal for students seeking flexible work hours that can accommodate school schedules, evenings, weekends, and seasonal availability. As a member of our event team, you will help deliver exceptional guest experiences by assisting with food preparation, event setup and teardown, food service, customer interactions, and maintaining D Spot's high standards of presentation and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup, including tables, linens, signage, displays, and catering stations.
- Prepare, package, and transport catering orders as directed.
- Serve food, desserts, beverages, and promotional samples at events.
- Provide exceptional customer service and engage positively with guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of event and catering areas.
- Assist with inventory counts, packing supplies, and event materials.
- Support event coordinators, managers, and corporate staff during activations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with event teardown and cleanup.
- Represent the D Spot brand in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Perform other event-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, hospitality, restaurant, catering, or event experience is considered an asset but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Access to reliable transportation is an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
