LMC Construction Group is a growing construction and excavation company specializing in earthworks, septic systems, site development, and residential construction projects throughout the Okanagan. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team for the summer.
This position is ideal for a business student or other computer-savvy student looking to gain hands-on experience in administration, customer service, and business operations within the construction industry.
Position Details
- Part-time (12–24 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule
- Office located in downtown Kelowna
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails
- Assist with customer inquiries and client communication
- Prepare and organize digital files and project documents
- Support invoicing, data entry, and basic bookkeeping tasks
- Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and company records
- Assist with permit, inspection, and project documentation tracking
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and scheduling
- Support project managers and office staff with administrative tasks
- Help maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Perform general office duties as required
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Professional and friendly customer service skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Previous administrative or customer service experience is considered an asset
- Experience with accounting or project management software is an asset but not required
