Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Mobile Patrol Guard to ensure the safety and security of designated premises. This role involves patrolling assigned areas, monitoring surveillance systems, and preventing loss or unauthorized access. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement or security, with strong observational skills and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the property on foot or via vehicle to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Document all patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and intervening in potential theft or vandalism.
- Enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by staff and visitors.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain a professional presence that reassures staff and visitors alike.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior or security risks.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations.
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous for patrolling larger areas efficiently.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of security.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence.
- Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle for patrol duties.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond to incidents professionally.
- Ability to work day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Clean criminal record/background check.
- Previous mobile patrol or security experience is an asset.
