Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our bakery production and wholesale distribution. This role requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for managing complex workflows. The ideal candidate will focus on streamlining production, enhancing wholesale growth, and ensuring smooth logistics to meet the needs of our growing customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the bakery's production schedules to ensure quality and consistency for wholesale orders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers, ensuring timely order fulfillment and delivery.
- Coordinate procurement and inventory management for bakery production.
- Develop strategies to optimize the efficiency and profitability of the wholesale business.
- Manage logistics, including order tracking, dispatch coordination, and supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align production output with wholesale demand.
- Analyse market trends and customer feedback to anticipate needs and expand the wholesale footprint.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the bakery and warehouse.
- Provide leadership and performance management for staff, fostering a positive, high-performing environment.
- Develop and implement policies and processes to support the growth of the wholesale and bakery operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in operations or wholesale management, ideally in food production or distribution.
- Proven ability to manage supply chains, customer accounts, and production schedules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Knowledge and appreciation of British products and food culture is an asset.
- Excellent leadership abilities, with a focus on team development and performance management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Office and operations management software.
