About the Maintenance Technician Position
The maintenance technician's responsibilities will vary with their skills and abilities. Specific problems you may work on include:
- Diagnose, service, and rebuild hydraulic systems used across farming equipment and vessels
- Perform routine upkeep, troubleshooting, and repairs on high‑pressure sprayers used in crop and gear cleaning
- Inspect, lubricate, adjust, and repair HIAB truck‑mounted cranes to ensure safe lifting operations
- Comfortable working on small commercial vessels, including engines, hydraulics, pumps, and deck equipment
- Broad ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues across farm machinery, pumps, conveyors, and processing equipment
- Execute scheduled inspections, lubrication, part replacements, and system checks to reduce downtime
- Comfortable working outdoors year‑round in marine conditions; able to respond to equipment failures on the water
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, lock‑out/tag‑out, and vessel safety protocols
- Work closely with farm operators, vessel crews, and management to keep operations running smoothly
- Maintain accurate logs of repairs, inspections, and parts usage
