About the role:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, your main responsibility will be to provide financial insight and analysis to support the business. You will be involved in executing business planning, forecasting, analysis, and presentations for the senior leadership of our Northern Operations.
Your focus will be on supporting the pellet production operations by identifying risks and opportunities, developing and monitoring production plans, and utilizing advanced financial modeling skills.
In this role, you will:

You'll be supporting the capital evaluation process and the organization's business plan by forecasting and validating projects.

Within this role you'll play a critical role in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end variance analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the business plan

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and standardization, including process automation and streamlining.
Demonstrate strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail across North America and at pellet operation sites.
Who we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have…
- A degree in business administration, commerce engineering or a related field from a recognized institution is required.

A genuine interest in obtaining an accounting designation is essential for success in this role. Experience with project controls and project management will be advantageous.

Demonstrated understanding of project schedules, construction challenges, strong analytical capabilities, and proficient process documentation skills are necessary.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Oracle EPM, Anaplan, Planful, and reporting/dashboarding tools is required.
