Coburg Auto Collision is seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced auto body shop environment. You will work closely with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience in vehicle repair, collision restoration, and shop operations. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to follow safety protocols are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and organized shop, work areas, and tools to promote a safe working environment.
Clean and prepare vehicles, both inside and out, prior to assessment and repair work.
Assist with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles as directed by senior technicians.
Observe and learn proper techniques for body repair, dent removal, welding, and refinishing.
Follow step-by-step instructions and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets Coburg Auto Collision standards.
Help with basic shop operations, including material handling, inventory organization, and tool maintenance.
Adhere to all safety policies, protective equipment requirements, and environmental guidelines.
Demonstrate a positive team attitude, reliability, and punctuality; communicate effectively with the team.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license is required.
High school diploma or equivalent; pursuing or intending to pursue a trade program is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive collision repair.
Excellent work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow directions.
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Basic math and measurement skills; attention to detail and quality.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
No prior collision repair experience is required; training will be provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
