Woof! Dog Shop & Daycare is currently seeking a new Assistant Front Desk and Daycare Manager at their Bloor West location. Woof! has been operating our dog daycare, shop & grooming facility at Bloor West for over 10 years and our day camp hiking & boarding farm property just north of Toronto for 7 years. We are blessed with an amazing group of clients, a family atmosphere and a place where we pride ourselves on our staff enjoying coming into work everyday.
Staff are trained in all things 'dog' and to keep every day interesting, staff rotate into different roles throughout the day to keep staff stimulated & engaged. Job Description:
Assistant Front Desk and Daycare Managers are responsible to assist with the following
- Client Reservation and Inquiries: Assisting clients with appointment reservations, service inquiries, answering phones & emails, shop sales, and checking clients in and out of daycare, boarding and grooming appointments.
- Daycare Daily Routine Oversight: Organizing daycare room groups, assisting city daycare staff with dog walk schedules, daycare room activities, overseeing any behaviour issues or concerns in daycare dogs. Keeping a positive and active daycare room.
- Shuttle Bookings & Staff Route Maps: Organizing shuttle route maps for next day service, checking shuttle log notes/shuttle service calendars, communicating with shuttle while on route and assisting with shuttle arrivals and departures.
- General Day to Day Operations: Assisting senior managers with day to day operations, staying on top of client communications and ensuring all systems are running smoothly.
Experience/Requirements:
- Must have some experience with dog behaviour/daycare or boarding setting
- Comfortable supporting staff and ensuring daily routines and practices are followed
- Experience working with clients and client needs
- Strong multi-tasker, attention to detail and works well in a team setting (respect for the value of your team is a must)
- Good people skill
Ideal Candidate:
An ideal Woof! team member is someone who is well spoken, has good communication skills, is comfortable working with a team, is confident, reliable and is able to handle high stress situation with a calm authority.
Candidates must also have a valid G2/G drivers license. Though you are not required to operate a shuttle, for training or emergency purposes, you will need to be comfortable driving a company vehicle should the situation arise.
Hours & Shifts:
Monday through Friday || 7am to 3pm OR 11am to 7pm weekly, with the occasional 9am to 5pm Saturday Shift
*All managers rotate between morning or afternoon shifts, allowing for flexible scheduling.
Training: There is a lot of ground to cover, all Junior managers are given approximately 1 month paid training while working with a senior manager.
