Overview
Stem bar is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, along with previous restaurant or kitchen experience. The position involves preparing meals according to recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized work station.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation
- Support the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to meet health department standards
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling practices
- Experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
- Strong understanding of the food industry standards for quality, hygiene, and safety
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
