As the Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind the daily operations, staff culture, and financial health of the store. You will lead a high-performing team of Baristas, ensure impeccable drink quality, manage inventory freshness (essential for our fresh fruit focus), and cultivate a welcoming experience for our local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Culture: Recruit, onboard, schedule, and train a dependable team of Tearistas and Shift Leads. Foster a positive, collaborative, and fast-paced work environment.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain strict adherence to MACU TEA's standardized drink preparation techniques, portion controls, and cleanliness protocols.
- Inventory & Freshness Management: Manage vendor ordering and inventory levels. Because Macu relies heavily on fresh fruit and premium components, meticulous tracking of shelf-life and minimization of waste is paramount.
- Customer Experience: Actively engage with customers, resolve issues efficiently, and maintain high service speed during peak hours.
- Financial Accountability: Manage store labor budgets, optimize operational costs, and execute local marketing strategies to drive store revenue.
- Compliance: Ensure the store fully complies with BC food safety regulations, WorkSafeBC guidelines, and corporate health standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Mandatory Experience: 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in a high-volume quick-service restaurant (QSR), café, or bubble tea shop.
- Certifications: Valid BC FoodSafe Level 1 certificate.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to meet the operational needs of a retail storefront.
Skills: Exceptional communication, strong problem-solving skills, and comfort working with POS and inventory management software.
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
