We represent many of the leading truck equipment manufacturers throughout North America and have the knowledge and experience to install even the most complicated snow and ice truck equipment packages. In Canada, our products are built and installed through our main plant in Mount Forest, Ontario, and through our factory stores in Calgary and Edmonton. In this role, the successful person will install snow & ice removal products, dump bodies, and more on standard and customized commercial trucks.
Job Duties: Installation – Electrical (Personal tools required; notify us if this is an obstacle)
Installation of 12V and 24V electrical & pneumatic components and systems on heavy-duty truck chassis’.
Electrical sub-component assembly of harnesses and consoles
Read/interpret drawings as they relate to the product being manufactured and installed
Installation of dump bodies, snowplows, spreaders, etc. on commercial trucks)
Understand the functionality of vehicle electrical systems to test completed units.
Handle heavy materials manually or with overhead cranes.
Complete required documentation for time, materials used, etc.
Use air/electric tools, paint, use shop measuring tools & cutting equipment
Produce quality product in a safe manner while focusing on given standardsMaintain daily cleanliness of work area
Adhere to all safety practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment.
Skills/Qualifications:
Detail oriented with good organizational skills
Basic mathematical skills
Knowledge in fluid power and hydraulic systems (hydraulic)
Knowledge in mechanical systems (mechanical)
Knowledge in 12V and 24V electrical systems, truck air systems (electrical)Hands-on experience working with heavy-duty commercial vehicle equipment and accessories preferred
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
Flexible, dedicated, motivated, challenge seeker, results driven
Ability to work with others and independently
Class 5 Drivers License
Hands-on experience working with mobile electrical (12V) equipment and accessories preferred.
Education/Experience:
Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic installation experience/knowledge preferred.
