Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of office workers in the North Vancouver area on a daily basis. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of driving experience with a clean driving and criminal record.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bus on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Transport workers according to an on call schedule.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and safety procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and project managers to coordinate transportation schedules and address any operational concerns.
- Educate passengers about proper bus etiquette and safety measures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a friendly manner.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 or Class 2 Unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a bus driver, preferably with experience driving large vehicles such as 52-seater buses.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, with a commitment to safe driving practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with passengers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
- Clear driving & criminal record
