The Job:
This is a floor level leadership role that provides hands-on support to the production operators and support teams and oversee the production activities in a high speed 24/7 manufacturing facility
This role will work a rotating continental shift (7 x 12 Hour shifts / 84 Hours Bi-Weekly)
Your Work will include:
- Functioning as a safety leader at all times in the production area to ensure that the plant site maintains its goal of ZERO workplace injuries.
- Leading production activities based on the production schedule and current operational capabilities.
- Working closely alongside production operators to make sure that product meets our rigorous quality standards at all times.
- Supporting the set-up technicians to ensure machine conversions and processing is completed safely on schedule.
- Providing relief and break coverage for operators and managing shift labor resources.
- Working closely with the QA team to prevent and correct any quality issues that are found.
- Completes periodic shift reports to communicate machine and production status to the leadership team.
- Communicates issues with equipment / quality or process to the line managers to help resolve and maintain production.

The successful candidate will also bring the following skills, experience, and competencies to the role:
- Previous supervisory / leadership experience of at least 2 years combined with at least 2 years of experience in a high-speed 24/7 manufacturing / production setting.
- The ability to lead a team from within by demonstrating a high level of intrapersonal skills to learn our processes and systems by working alongside and learning from our existing production team.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting ability in a production setting to minimize machine down time.
- Prior experience operating equipment such as palletizers, box makers, case packers and conveyor systems.
- An eagerness to learn and understand the PET plastic manufacturing process and business.
- The ability to work closely with the plant leadership team by providing input and feedback into production decisions and planning meetings and the ability to successfully execute plan actions.
