Note: This is a full-time position directly reporting to the National Intake Coordinator; pay rate as agreed, based on experience, expertise, and applicable education.
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the National Intake Assistant is to support the application and admission process of entrants to the faith-based program at Teen Challenge Canada. The incumbent supports the National Intake Coordinator by responding to program inquiries, conducting preliminary assessments and interviews, informing applicants of decision, and coordinating admissions with local Centres, in order to meet Intake and occupancy targets, while respecting all confidentiality standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Courteously respond to all incoming program inquiries via telephone, verbal correspondence, Skype, and other methods as required
- Apply screening practices to ensure approved applicants for admission meet all admission requirements
- Conduct interviews with applicants via telephone, Skype or face-to-face
- Accept, process and administer all aspects of student applications by ensuring filing, record creation, updating, logging and tracking are maintained on a regular basis
- Coordinate with all Centres to effectively fulfill forecasted targets specifically concerning admissions, and oversee the preparation of client beds
- Maintain professionalism and a high level of confidentiality in all internal and external interactions including, but not limited to, Doctors, Lawyers, Probation officers, Social Services, Children’s Aid Services, Counsellors, detox centres, hospitals, and medical clinics
- Arrange transportation for prospective Program entrants to be shuttled to assigned Centre
- Ensure all confidential and sensitive information is accurately processed and entered into the database
