Equipment Service Technician– Tracked & Offroad Fleet

About the Role
Pioneer Offroad Rentals is seeking a skilled, hands-on Mechanic to join our Edmonton branch. In this role, you will service, troubleshoot, and maintain our full rental line—ranging from heavy rubber-tracked carriers down to traditional recreational and utility off-road vehicles.

Key Equipment responsibilities
We require experienced mechanics that can service and troubleshoot:
- Hydraulics: System diagnostics, pump and valve servicing, hydrostatic drives, and reading schematics.
- Undercarriage: Track tensioning, alignment, drive sprockets, rollers, and rubber track wear management across heavy tracked carriers.
- Fuel Systems: Mechanical and electronic diesel fuel injection maintenance, filter/line servicing, and fuel system troubleshooting.
- Cooling System Servicing: Routine maintenance, pressure testing systems for leaks, tracing coolant lines to locate faults, flushing, and replacing faulty components.
- Fleet:
- Tracked Equipment: Hägglunds BV206D, Terramac, and Prinoth units.
- Traditional Off-Road Equipment: Argos, Side-by-Sides (SxSs), Quads/ATVs, Snowmobiles, and trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, service, and perform preventative maintenance across both heavy rubber-tracked equipment and traditional off-road fleet vehicles.
- Manage equipment flow through the shop in a timely manner while maintaining high quality-control standards.
- Perform pre-rental checks, post-rental inspections, and complete accurate work orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment; participate in occasional on-call rotation.
- Work collaboratively with branch staff and interact professionally with clients when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–3+ years servicing diesel equipment, heavy rubber-tracked machinery, and power sports / off-road utility vehicles.
- Certification: Equipment Service Technician equivalent trade experience.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Eligibility: Must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada and commute reliably to Edmonton, AB (T6E 5A6).
