Position Summary
The Client Services Officer (CSO) delivers exceptional service to both new and existing clients, fostering strong relationships that align with Ulnooweg’s mission to support Indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive business preparation, application review, and marketing support while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
As a Client Services Officer, you’ll engage directly with clients, provide pre-application support as well as screen business applications to ensure each applicant is set for success. You’ll collaborate closely with our Access to Capital team to assist clients at every stage of their journey.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional, client-focused service, ensuring confidentiality and responsiveness to client concerns.
- Conduct initial client discussions, assess business readiness, and recommend next steps.
- Review and verify client applications, including documentation of ancestry, equity, and business planning.
- Collaborate regularly with other members of the Access to Capital team to track client progress.
- Develop and implement annual marketing strategies, monitor performance, and report on outcomes.
- Participate in business planning processes and promotional activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of business planning, economic development, and Indigenous communities across Atlantic Canada.
- 1-2 years experience in business development, customer service, or a similar sector.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience in analyzing reports and business outcomes.
