Position Summary
Terra Nova is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support the procurement of materials and services critical to our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic supplier management, sourcing and quoting activities, contract negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and market analysis to ensure a resilient and competitive supply chain.
This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

- Supplier Communication - maintain a mutually productive business relationship with suppliers through prompt and accurate communication
- Supplier Management - maintain supplier relationships, compliance and performance via communication and corrective action measures
- Supplier Administration and maintenance - maintain current supplier information within database to ensure ease of doing business
- Gather, analyze, discuss and maintain key supplier performance data
- Evaluate suppliers based on scorecard criteria
- Maintain open lines of communication and provide regular feedback to the working relationship with key suppliers via Supplier Business Reviews (SBR)
- Supplier evaluations - ensure all qualified suppliers meet or exceed published performance goals and take corrective measures to those that do not
- Submit supplier approvals or disqualifications
- Create and maintain supplier profiles, transformation of all pricing, LT, MOQ/MPQ and liability stats into required databases
- Negotiate optimum material and services contracts with suppliers, including payment terms, bonding, cancellation and return privileges
- Activity pursue cost reduction programs and contract agreements
- Quoting and sourcing - engage with the most competitive suppliers utilizing terms and conditions
- Escalation Management - Resolve part/supplier escalations from teams to ensure continuity of supply
- Monitor and understand market conditions and volatility and its effect on ability to procure and secure inventory at the right price when required
- Negotiate respective commodities by market trends, stocks market intelligence, manufacturer consolidation, supplier flexibility and agility based on specific cost down initiatives
Education & Experience

High School Diploma required
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset
- Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or supplier management within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems preferred
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier performance management, and contract negotiations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution, and supplier relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset
- Experience conducting RFQs, RFPs, and supplier selection processes
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, Controlled Goods Program (CGP), or other regulated manufacturing environments is considered an asset
- Experience negotiating pricing, lead times, contractual terms, and long-term supply agreements
- Experience sourcing electronic components, mechanical parts, raw materials, or specialized services is considered an asset
