Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves supervising staff, managing food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to deliver a memorable dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards and consistency.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and optimal service flow.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships as needed.
- Supervise restaurant operations during shifts, including serving guests, managing barista or hospitality services if applicable.
- Implement policies to improve efficiency, profitability, and overall guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills required.
- Supervising experience with a focus on team management and staff development.
- Excellent customer service skills with a hospitality-oriented mindset.
- Ability to oversee food handling procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment.
- Experience in interviewing prospective employees and building effective teams.
- Knowledge of the food industry trends, restaurant operations, and kitchen processes.
