Socomec BESS NAM is the activities in charge of developing all Batteries Energy Storage System for CC&I and Data Center Market in North America. This Activity is due to become more autonomous to gain agility to go faster on the targeted market.
About This Role
This position will lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain, manufacturing, and supplier quality operations to support scalable business growth, improve cost competitiveness, and ensure high-quality product delivery, while driving cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence across the business. This position will be a permanent participant of the steering committee to manage BESS NAM and the last strategic mission to be handle by a dedicate manager.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Leadership & Strategic Ownership
- Serve as the end-to-end operational leader for BESS NAM, overseeing Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Industrialization functions.
- Lead the scaling of BESS NAM operations to meet and exceed business plan objectives, including revenue growth and profitability targets.
- Drive cost competitiveness and margin improvement initiatives aligned with organizational growth goals.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Marketing, and global BESS headquarters teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
Supply Chain & Manufacturing
- Lead and develop the Supply Chain team, ensuring effective performance, capability building, and alignment with business priorities.
- Own the end-to-end supply chain strategy, including make-or-buy decisions and the development of a North American industrial footprint roadmap.
- Oversee and optimize subcontractor performance across cost, quality, lead time, and industrialization standards.
- Strengthen partnerships with global and regional operations teams.
- Drive supplier strategy, including identification, qualification, and selection of new suppliers and subcontractors, while executing localization and compliance initiatives (e.g., ITC and local content requirements).
- Lead the industrialization of systems, including integration of power electronics, thermal management, energy management systems (EMS), and safety components.
Enhance ERP systems and digital tools to support data-driven decision-making, operational visibility, and performance tracking through dashboards and KPIs.

Supplier Quality Management
- Design, implement, and continuously improve a robust quality management framework across all suppliers and subcontractors.
- Lead supplier quality audits and ensure adherence to defined quality standards and processes.
- Establish and monitor quality KPIs, driving accountability and continuous improvement in collaboration with global BESS teams.
- Develop proactive, preventive quality strategies in coordination with Service teams, ensuring closed-loop feedback between field performance, service data, and product design improvements.
- Lead root cause analysis for system-level issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure full compliance with North American regulatory and certification standards (e.g., UL, CSA, NEC).

Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in renewable energy industry for C&I and / or Utilities
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar leadership position
- Experience with - Contract manufacturing / EMS - Global sourcing (Asia exposure strongly valuable) - Scaling operations and Leading a team in a startup phase
Start-up / scale-up experience
Experience in North American regulatory environment
Digital supply chain / data-driven operations
Engaged, Problem solver, Ownership / Responsible with a strong entrepreneurial and pioneering spirit.
Hands-On Position and business-oriented due to the nature of the company (Start-up spirit)
- This role is located in an office environment with occasional need to visit the manufacturing environment
- Ability to travel to international destinations; must possess and maintain a valid passport for international travel.
Comfortable operating across multiple time zones and global teams

Compensation range: $130,000 – $160,000 CAD
