Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Installer specializing in Windows, Doors, and Siding to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation projects, possess excellent craftsmanship, and demonstrate leadership skills to oversee installation processes from start to finish. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction. The Lead Installer will be responsible for guiding team members, managing installation tasks, and maintaining safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate installation of windows, doors, and siding on various construction sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and schematics.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations with precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan installation procedures effectively.
- Supervise and mentor junior installers, providing guidance on proper techniques and safety protocols.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Perform quality inspections during and after installation to verify proper fit, finish, and functionality.
- Manage material inventory, ensuring timely delivery of supplies needed for each project phase.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth workflow and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal throughout the job site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction installation projects with a focus on windows, doors, or siding.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, caulking techniques, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and carpentry skills.
- Familiarity with restoration processes, construction painting, plumbing basics, welding, flooring installation, and tile laying is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate them into precise on-site work.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining safety standards.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds), stand for extended periods, climb ladders or scaffolding as needed.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites.
