Point No Point Resort is an oceanfront destination offering 25 private beach-front rental units perched on a bluff high above the shoreline on 40 acres of rugged waterfront. We are situated on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island in Shirley, 26 kilometers west of Sooke. Our property also includes a renowned fine dining restaurant overlooking the ocean. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and guest-focused candidate to join our Front Desk team 3-4 days per week. This role is best suited to someone who is confident communicating with guests, enjoys a structured environment, and takes pride in accuracy and organization.
All bookings are handled by phone or in person, so strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and professional experience
- Handle all reservations by phone or in person with a high level of accuracy
- Respond to guest inquiries clearly and professionally
- Navigate paper based booking system to check availability and manage reservations
- Memorize and confidently communicate details of all cabins, including layouts, amenities, and policies
- Clearly explain and apply all booking policies and resort guidelines
- Process payments using POS and Moneris systems
- Prepare guest check-in materials
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized front desk and lobby
- Accurately record and relay phone messages
- Communicate effectively with all departments
- Assist with gift shop sales and restaurant reservations
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Comfortable handling phone-based bookings and guest interactions
- Ability to memorize and retain detailed information
- Previous hospitality experience is an asset
- Administrative experience or comfort with handling reservations/guest records is an asset
Requirements
- Availability to work a combination of midweek and weekend daytime shifts
- Reliable transportation required as must be able to commute to the resort (no public transportation in area)
