Clinical Therapist Registered Clinical Counsellor / Equivalent
About Halo Ridge Halo Ridge is a private, mountain-based recovery institute located above the Comox Valley, designed to provide deeply intentional, trauma-informed care within a supportive and structured residential environment. Our program integrates evidence-based clinical therapy with advanced and holistic modalities, creating a setting where both clients and clinicians can do meaningful, high-impact work.
The Role
We are seeking a grounded, experienced, and compassionate Clinical Therapist who is passionate about working in a residential recovery setting. This role will be central to our clinical program, supporting individuals navigating addiction, trauma, and mental health challenges in a highly supportive and intentional environment. This is not a high-volume practice. We are intentionally building a small, high-quality program focused on depth of care, clinical integrity, and long-term outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy to residential clients.
- Conduct clinical assessments and contribute to individualized care plans.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation.
- Support a trauma-informed, client-centered approach across all programming.
- Participate in case reviews, treatment planning, and ongoing program development.
Clinical Focus
- Trauma-informed care, including modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), or somatic approaches.
- Substance use and addiction treatment within a residential setting.
- Dual diagnosis support, including mental health and addiction presentations.
- Nervous system regulation and clinically appropriate holistic integration.
- Experience with innovative or emerging therapies is considered a strong asset
Qualifications
- Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or equivalent designation in British Columbia.
- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in mental health, trauma, or substance use settings.
- Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and boundaries.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
What Makes This Role Different
- Low client-to-clinician ratio, allowing for depth over volume.
- Opportunity to help build a premium recovery program from the ground up.
- Private, nature-based setting designed for thoughtful and intentional care.
- Strong clinical autonomy within a collaborative culture.
- Meaningful, long-term impact with clients in a highly focused environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary based on experience, extended health and dental benefits, paid vacation, professional development support, and opportunity for growth within the organization.
Why Halo Ridge
