Diagnostic Imaging Receptionist – Part-Time / Full-Time
Westney Heights Diagnostic Centre is seeking a highly reliable, flexible, and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Receptionist to join our team at our busy, fast-paced diagnostic imaging clinic in Ajax.
The ideal candidate is professional, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-volume healthcare environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience working as a receptionist in a diagnostic imaging clinic is strongly preferred
- Previous experience with VELOX RIS software is a strong asset
- Fast learner with the ability to follow instructions and established procedures
- Excellent communication, telephone, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
- Book and coordinate appointments for diagnostic imaging examinations
- Ensure patients have received and followed the appropriate preparation instructions for their examinations
- Obtain and verify required patient identification, requisitions, documentation, and relevant information according to clinic guidelines
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and notes
- Ensure patient reports and other documentation are delivered, distributed, and faxed promptly, where applicable
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians’ offices, technologists, radiologists, and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy requirements
- Perform other administrative duties as required

- Follow all company policies and applicable government regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete routine cleaning of the work area and equipment as scheduled or required
- Follow all clinic procedures related to patient privacy, confidentiality, and safety
