Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Shop Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal parts and assemblies with precision and adherence to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely to move heavy materials or assemblies as needed.
- Conduct machining tasks such as measuring with calipers and performing basic math calculations to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Assist with ductwork, construction, or manufacturing projects requiring welding expertise.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety standards including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and troubleshoot issues during fabrication or installation processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, machining, ductwork, or structural fabrication.
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for precise fabrication work.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other related equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read calipers and perform basic math calculations relevant to fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, hand tools, power tools, schematics, and welding safety standards is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with construction or manufacturing projects involving ductwork or assembly is a plus.
Pay: $18.02-$48.10 per hour
