We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR & Admin Assistant. This role involves managing HR & Administrative tasks, assisting with talent acquisition, employee relations, and maintaining attendance systems. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience. This position offers an opportunity to set up the HR & Admin department in a medium-size company.
Responsibilities
- Assist with talent acquisition processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and HR sourcing.
- Support onboarding and training & development initiatives for new hires
- Maintain and update the attendance system.
- Manage employee records and data collection activities with attention to confidentiality and compliance
- Coordinate employee relations activities and facilitate communication between staff and management
- Support payroll processing activities through data entry and verification in the attendance system.
- Assist with change management projects and HR project management tasks
- Prepare reports on HR metrics and assist in HR analytics using data from various systems
- Provide administrative support for HR & Admin functions, including but not limited to scheduling interviews, maintaining documentation, and managing correspondence
Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Employment Standards Act and other relevant legislation, and keep track of any legislation changes in the Employment Act.
- Proven experience in human resources management or administrative roles within a corporate environment
- Familiarity with HR platforms.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—along with strong interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in data entry, data collection, and report generation using various HR software tools
- Ability to adapt to change management initiatives and support training & development programs
- Administrative experience supporting human resources functions is highly desirable
- Knowledge of recruiting processes, including interviewing techniques and talent acquisition strategies.
- Ability to work well with others

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
