This role requires strong technical knowledge of Bindery work within printing industry, someone who can work in a Print and Mail Production environment with the ability to multitask. The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks.
- Operate Multi Station Floor Model Inserter.
- Operate Pile Feed Floor Model Folder.
- Perform small Bindery functions incumbent to Print Production environments. (e.g. Coil punch, drill, scoring/perforating, padding, shrink wrap, etc.)
- Set up machines according to job requirements, making sure to meet accuracy and quality standards.
- Paper cutting and preparation of materials for production. Return unused paper to storeroom.
- Record accurately all labour time and material used.
- Other tasks may be assigned based on organizational needs
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Minimum 5 years experience as Multi Station inserter operator floor model. (E.g. Bell & Howell Mailstar 400 or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pile Feed Floor Model Folder Operator. (E.g. Baum, MBO, Stahl, Heidelberg.)
- Well versed in Operating Inserting and Folding equipment.
- Experience with drill, coil binding equipment, and other small bindery equipment will be considered an asset.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge in Excel software considered an asset.
- Experience in bindery operation of guillotine cutters.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to perform manual physical labour (walking, sorting, standing for a sustained period).
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 51,800.00 - $ 69,067.00
