Key Responsibilities
- Create interactive online therapy materials that can be used for various clients
- Provide screenings and treatment to individuals of all ages who present with a broad range of communication difficulties
- Work with clients face to face in our office (Dundas, ON) and in remote areas using video-conference technology
- Possible travel opportunities to First Nations Communities
Qualifications
- Graduate Certificate in Communicative Disorders Assistant
- Experience working with both children and adults who have speech-language and literacy concerns
- Proficiency following a treatment plan outlined by a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide creative and engaging therapy sessions
- Comfort providing both individual and group treatment sessions
- Able to adapt treatment approach to the needs of clients, including clients of different cultural backgrounds and across various settings
- Able to work well as part of a team including Speech-Language Pathologists, Communicative Disorders Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Art Therapists, and Psychologists
- Possess the flexibility and time-management skills necessary to manage an ever-changing caseload
- Intermediate to advanced level use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint programs as well as Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
- Comfort with technology, including video conferencing technology
- Able to travel to Northern First Nations Communities, if necessary
